Have you ever put on an outfit and immediately felt more confident, energised, or just ‘right’? That is usually down to the choice of colour or style suited to you.
Did you know there’s a whole system designed to help you discover which colours naturally enhance your features and make you look your best? This is Seasonal Colour Analysis.
So, what is Seasonal Colour Analysis?
Seasonal Colour Analysis is a method of determining which colours complement your natural colouring based on the four seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. This system gives you a palette that enhances your skin tone, eye colour, and hair shade – making you look more vibrant and confident.
The Four Seasonal Colour Palettes
- Spring – Warm and bright tones like coral, peach, warm reds, fresh greens, and golden yellows.
- Summer – Cool and soft, smokey tones like dusty pinks, lavenders, sky blues, and soft greys.
- Autumn – Warm and earthy tones like rust, mustard, deep greens, and rich browns.
- Winter – Cool and bold colours like deep blues, reds, bold greens and striking black and white.
These are also broken down into more specific palettes often called deep, dark, light, muted or soft ie Dark Summer or Light Summer.
Colour stylists work with your skin tone, eye colour, and hair shade to determine your palette and will often give you guidance on where on where to wear the colours, along with tips on accessories and make up too.
What is Body Shape Analysis?
Body Shape Analysis is a powerful tool that helps you understand how to dress. Rather than focusing on size, this approach celebrates shape, identifying your natural proportions to determine the most flattering clothing styles for you and helping you choose outfits that enhance your natural silhouette and create balance in your overall look.
There are Five Common Body Shapes
- Hourglass – Balanced proportions with a well-defined waist.
- Pear (Triangle) – Hips are wider than the shoulders.
- Apple (Round) – More weight around the midsection with a fuller bust.
- Rectangle (Straight) – Shoulders, waist, and hips are similar in width.
- Inverted Triangle – Broader shoulders and narrower hips.
